Ayomide had traveled into Leopard Grove, unaware that Nuru was actually closer to her earlier. She jumped into the tree she had took a nap in earlier, the one with a dip in it where she could curl up. She jumped down into the dip, quickly curling up as some blood trickled down her cheek. Tears streamed down her eyes, the salty blood and water mixing together.
Ayomide half blamed herself for Kenosi's death, but another half was telling herself that it might of been a heat stroke. She grieved alone in her tree.

Anan ran into the grove sobbing. He only felt worse over the fact that his father hadn't even TRIED to stop him. He knew it was strange, as he was very much angry with his father for killing his idol, but he had hoped Alibaster had at least cared enough to want him to stay. Now, not only had he lost his mother and his idol, but he had lost all of his family, his pride, everything he'd ever known.
Collapsing onto the ground, he covered his face in his paws and cried, his body shaking with each breath.

Xeiga exited Clapperclaw territory, having found no new scent of his target. Wasn't he surprised when he stumbled upon a distraught leopon crying on the ground. For a moment he considered simply ambushing the cub. But he wasn't completely without pity, and as much as he hated it, he couldn't blame the cub for being late if something had happened.
"Anan," he said, standing about a foot behind him. "Late. Something happen?"

When Anan heard the familiar voice he gasped, jumping to his feet and quickly backing away from the hyena. "S-Stay away from me!" He looked at him with wide, tear-filled eyes, terrified that now he was going to die. The hyena had said he would kill him. So, he quickly tried to think of some excuse, of while it had nothing to do with him not bringing food to the hyena, he quickly thought of something. "P-Please... my mother died. I couldn't..." He trailed off, shaking so badly he could hardly even understand himself. Whimpering, he continued backing up from the dog, prepared to run if he needed to.

Xeiga tipped his head, trying to read the distraught animal's lips. It was no easy task, words looked so different when the face twisted like that. In the end, though, he managed to decipher a few words. "My mother died too," he finally said,, sitting down. A loss like that was something he was all too familiar with. Even so, where he came from, debts needed to be payed. "I won't harm. Help find food, and I won't harm."

Anan still didn't at all trust this animal, and he was still crying. And while he certainly didn't want to die, he also didn't at all trust his hunting abilities right now, and he whimpered, curling up on the ground. "I don't think I can hunt... she's dead, he's dead... My dad killed him... I can't do anything. My mother was right to be ashamed of me." He sobbed harder, though it was getting to the point where he was practically gasping for breath between each sob.

Misty entered Leopard Grove, heading through the dense underbrush. She favored Leopard Grove over Crocodile Isle since it was cooler here. She knew where her home was, so it was pretty easy to go back and found that her buffalo was still there.
Misty looked over and smiled at Sai "Take as much as you like" she said with a dip of her head

It had taken them a while, but finally they reached the dry land of the grove, and Ashur leaned down so that Ammit could easily get off of him before standing back up again. "Well, welcome to the grove." He raised his head, breathing in the air. There were many different scents, as always. Now it was just a matter of finding food. "Smell anything?"

Ammit held onto Ashur as he swam, gently sliding herself off when the male lowered himself. She gave him a nod of thanks before inhaling, trying to decipher the mixture of scents. "Hmm... I smell death. Death means food," she said, taking in another breath. A very faint cry filled the air, and Ammit looked to Ashur. "And someone seems upset... should we check on them?" she asked, concern sprinkled in her words.

Ashur licked his lips hungrily at the idea of food. Sure, he could go a while without eating, but that didn't mean he wanted to. Food was always good. Though as she brought up someone crying he grunted, sighing and walking that way. "I suppose." He wasn't thinking of comforting whoever it was that was crying, though. Mostly he just wanted to see who it was and, if he considered the animal a threat, to kill him. Of course, normally he would probably just turn the other way and avoid whoever it was, but Ammit seemed interested, so oh well.

Hearing Ashur's approval of her question, Ammit advanced forward, keeping her ears and eyes alert for the crying's source. The lioness made sure to keep her body language friendly, and knowing that it was likely a solitary animal, Ammit meant to do no threatening of any sort, especially when the stranger was clearly upset.
After a moment of wandering, her eyes fell upon the sobs' creator. What she saw was incredibly unusual to her. A sort of lion and leopard hybrid, crying his eyes out near a small striped hyena. The hybrid had a leopard's body, but with a mahogany lion's mane. She pushed her confusion away, cautiously approaching the pair.
"Are you alright? I heard you crying... I mean no harm," she murmured, her face softening. Ammit kept a respectable distance between herself and the strangers, but she made sure she showed no intent of harm.

As if having the hyena suddenly showing up wasn't bad enough, then there were two large lions coming up to him, and Anan's eyes widened in fear. However, he didn't recognize them as Sunbaked. Ashur had been there during the battle at Clapperclaw, but Anan hadn't paid very much attention, and anyway, that had been a long time ago. Whimpering, he backed away until he was pressed against a tree, ears pinned back. "P-Please don't hurt me." He buried his face into his paws, still crying and shaking. "I just want to be left alone. Please."

When finally they reached the source of the cries and Ashur's eyes landed on the young leopon, he dug his claws into the ground and growled lowly, eyes glaring down at him. "You're Alibaster's son." It took a lot for him to not just pounce on the little leopon and rip his pelt to shreds, and while there were no guarantees that he wouldn't do it in a moment, for now he was going to play nice. He wanted to know what the little bastard was crying about.

The lioness watched the strange hybrid back away, crying. Her heart went out to this odd creature, even if she didn't know the reason for his tears. It pulled her heartstrings when she saw another animal cry, especially one with lion blood. When Ammit heard Ashur growl, she gave him a rough nudge with her shoulder, her head snapping around to glare at him. She said nothing to Ashur, instead letting her glare linger before turning back to the stranger and softening her expression.
Ammit walked a few steps closer, showing signs of submission. "It's alright, neither of us will hurt you. We heard you crying. Nobody should be so upset... can I do anything for you?" she asked, her voice sweet. Ammit was genuinely concerned for this creature, even though she knew nothing of him. "What's your name?" she asked kindly.
