((Decided to use Rudo for this, because I want him to age up a bit, and he'd be a pretty even match for Ikusi. I'll be using adult stats for him, and I'll be posting them with each reply as a reminder.)) Health: 65/65 STRENGTH: 8 SPEED: 3 DEFENSE: 2 ABILITY: 1 Rudo, tall and all grown up, wandered through the savanna, ready to fight any trespassers who dared to step foot on his land. He caught sight of a cheetah a ways off, and with a silent growl, lunged for her. qxRUpqZ7 (Okay, so I won't know what I rolled until I post and look. But I'll do a quick explanation for now, anyhow. Basically, I am doing a strength roll right now to attack. Normally I would add in an intimidation roll along with that, but we'll keep things simple for now. Strength rolls are just to attack. You roll, add in your strength stat, which for me is currently an 8, and then the total number is your attack. Now what you have to do is do a speed roll to try and evade. To do that, you just roll, take your speed stat, which for a cheetah is 9, and then you take those two numbers and add them together. They have to be HIGHER than my strength roll. If the number is equal or less than, then you're hit, and you're automatically pinned, which means you will not be able to evade my next attack until you escape my pin. Also, if I hit you, since cheetahs have no natural defense, you will take my full attack. Evading is going to be very important for you! Now I'm gonna post and see what I rolled. XD) (Okay, so I rolled a 7, and with my 8 strength, that's 15. Now you have to roll a 7 or above to evade. And remember, you can do two rolls in the same post, but never two of the same kind. So once you make your evade attempt, you can also roll to try to harm me back.)

(OH GOD I AM SO SORRY ;_; I accidentally fell asleep and took a really long nap. I woke up like 10 minutes ago and I was like "WAIT A MINUTE" so... I'm sorry DX Eeeeh! --- Alright, so I roll, + 9. Got'sit. Do I roll first, then go back and edit in the IC results? That's what I'm gonna do here, correct me if I'm wrong though DX I GOT IT BY ONE POINT XD Niceee)) --- seZqzXSdIkusi let out a suprised howl as she was suddenly lunged at by some random Cheetah. I literally don't even know you, was the only thing she thought before she managed to scoot out of the way, just in time before he managed to descend upon her. Turning around, she raised her little neck-ruff of cub fuzz and hissed loudly in warning, her tail shaped like a ladel and close to the ground. She said no words, only stared him down and awaited his next move. She was on the defensive and ready, now! ((I'm gonna save a counter-attack attempt for the next post so I know what to do I hope you don't mind))

((S'all good. And what we usually do is roll and make our IC post at the same time. Just say something like, "Bob lunged for Steve with his teeth bared." And then we roll and post, wait for a response, and then just have our character's reaction in that post. In fights, our 'no one-liners' rule doesn't apply. XD Basically the only time that I've noticed people adding in more IC-ness to their posts after rolling is if they're being intimidated, because then you really have to edit your IC post. With that all said, there's not really a right or wrong way to do it, so long as you're rolling and making at least a small IC post. By the way, when rolling, it's generally a good idea to put exactly what it is you're rolling for, and who you're rolling against. Even if right now it's obvious. XD Like usually when I roll, I put something like... 5 + 4 = 9 to harm Carly. 6 + 2 = 8 to intimidate Jeff. And so on. And lastly, you're free to make a strength roll along with your evade. In fact, it's generally a good idea to do that, considering people don't need a player's consent to kill characters here. If you don't put up a fight, most likely you'll end up dead. XD Thankfully it doesn't matter in the Colosseum, but still, just a tip when you get into an actual fight.)) Health: 65/65 STRENGTH: 8 SPEED: 3 DEFENSE: 2 ABILITY: 1 Rudo snarled in frustration when the slimey little cat somehow managed to avoid him. Turning back to her, he curled his lips back in a snarl, then lunged again. c9_5h2O|_ (4 + 8 = 12 to harm. This is what I mean by saying exactly what each roll is for. When you're fighting multiple people, you say exactly who it is you're trying to harm.) _ (7 + 1 = 8 to intimidate. Ahh, my favorite thing to do. XD Intimidation requires an ability roll. You just roll, take your ability stat, add them together, and that's your roll. Ability is also used for things like swimming, as well as trying to escape a pin. But in this case, it's intimidation. What you have to do, before you can roll for anything else, even to evade, is you have to make an ability roll to try and brave my intimidation attempt. You must get ABOVE an 8. If you get a 9 or higher, then you have successfully braved my intimidation, and are free to roll to evade or attack or whatever. Though you may not use another ability roll for that turn. However, if you fail to brave my intimidation, then, obviously, you're intimidated. You cannot roll again for that turn. So now you must try to brave me, and if you fail, then you will not get a chance to evade, and I will have hit you, and pinned you, and the only way to escape is by doing another ability roll.) ·

((Okedoke. I think I'll stick to my Roll > Edit > Post thing, just because I like things to be neatly packed up into one little post for simplicity's sake. I hope that's alright~))
RXKWNzKS + 1 = 2 (brave) + 9 = 12 (evade)
--- Health: 60 Last Ate: Day 9
A shudder ran up her spine. Males were scary. Terrified, she attempted to get away from his attack- However, this time her luck ended there. She found herself pinned underneath the male Cheetah, and narrowed her eyes quietly, growling softly at his sudden power over her.··

((Uhh, you actually didn't brave the intimidation. XD You got a 2, and I got an 8. You had to get above an 8 to brave. So you are now intimidated. Which also means you technically can't evade, but you failed anyway, so.... XD
By the way, I forgot to say this before, but keep your in each and every post. It does above your post, not in your signature. This makes it easier to keep track of when you're harmed.))

(Oh gosh sorry ;0; Missed that entirely. /panicky edit
Also, I thought I made one of those "BBC Code" things in my account, so that it would automatically appear above each post I made, but I guess that didn't work >U)

((I generally just copy and paste. It becomes habit after a while.
By the way, I'd also suggest editing out your evade attempt. You fail to avoid getting hit either way, but still. It's either you skip rolling that turn, or for your next turn you can't roll, and I'll get in a few extra hits that way. XD))

((Okay, here's how intimidating works. My character roars. I do an ability roll to intimidate. In your response then, you roll to try and brave it. However, you failed, which means that you now may not do a second roll in that post. If you really want to roll that post, you may, but then that means you cannot roll in your next post. Either of those two. I generally prefer just going with the first option.
Intimidation just means that your character has been shocked, scared, ect, and you just cannot roll. So yeah, you just react.))
