Once it was all forest and home to all sorts of animals that loved to spend their time under the canopy. However a wildfire stemming from the Barrens Clan lands spread through and claimed a much of the land, burning it to crisp. Much of the forest too was saved and still remains the perfect home for the lions--but also troublesome leopards.

Territory RegionsThe HookThe Hook is a region of the Clapperclaw land that follows the Painted Army's border and curves around it to meet a pinch of the Sunbaked territory in its bottleneck. Despite being so close to the Painted Army's territory, it'd be a miracle to spot a dog while looking across the border. Both the Clapperclaw and Painted Army side are thick with brush and trees. SoftwoodSoftwood, the Clapperclaw's den, is a well shaded and peaceful one. The lions gather together under a large tree with big, low-to-the-ground branches. Those thick boughs allow the otherwise clumsy-climbing lions to get some rest off the ground. The center from with the branches splay outward is a depression in the tree that allows for safety for the little ones. Lake KetoThe Clapperclaw's thick jungle opens up upon reaching a large body of water named Lake Keto. It is serene here, with small waterfalls and a gradual depth to the water that allows even little ones to splash about. However do not go into the deep ends of this water as they are impossibly deep. The water too is filled with its own plantlife that can tangle your legs up. Apparently the pride once killed traitors and enemies here by trapping them in the deep ends and watching them drown. Bones sometimes wash ashore. The AshlandsThe beautiful dense forest that is the Clapperclaw's pride and joy ends as you head south of Softwood. A wildfire started in the hot grasslands of the Barrens and spread into the once lush Southlands, completely destroying them. This area became known as the Ashlands. The manifestation of loss.

The Culture of the Clapperclaws
øThe Clapperclaw pride is lead by a dominant male and female. Who is more in-charge of the two is decided by their personalities, not by their gender.
øThe Clapperclaws have traditionally allowed members to pick their partners freely.
øLake Keto was used to drown their enemies but this tradition was abolished by previous leader Gabriel long ago.
øThe Clapperclaws have long allowed adult males within their pride.
øWhile the Clapperclaws guard their borders diligently, they generally do not attack intruders unless it is deemed necessary to do so.
øWhen a Clapperclaw member dies, their body is brought to Softwood for a time of mourning. When that grieving time is over (usually no more than a day or two) the pride will bring the body into Underwood or Leopard Grove for the Solitary animals to consume.
