The Land



The Crossroads is where all the territories meet and consequently butt heads the most. Cutting through the Crossroads, from a lake from the west--between the Sunbaked and Barrens lands, is a large, deep river that runs through before finally becoming shallow and scattered as it reaches the center of the Painted Army's territory, turning into a delta there.

Prey, while each with their own agenda, tend to travel from the dry north and west and are heading south and east for greener, safer lands to bare their calves. The last few years have been particularly sparse, causing the rivalry from the different predators to come to a bloody head.

The Land Regions

The Lushlands
Heading out of the Painted Army territory or the East of the Sunbaked will bring you to the Lushlands. The land has open forest patches that lead into beautiful green grasslands. The land would be a downright paradise for herbivores if not for the soil. The ground here is very soft and often times muddy. Hooved animals sometimes have problems walking here.





Tallhair Savanna
The Tallhair Savanna, or just Tallhair, is a portion of terrain that is located between the northern Barrens, southeastern Sunbaked and the Lushlands. It is very close to the river but here the ground is much more stable. The grass is tall and beautifully green near the riverside but gradually turns golden as it heads for the Barrens and Sunbaked lands. There are trees and brush, though they tend to be spaced out or fairly close to the riverside.





Crocodile Isle
Crocodile Isle is a small patch of dry land in the wide Crossroads river. It is referred to as the Crocodile Isle of course because it makes sense for crocodiles, or hippos, to want to hang out there. While they do, both do not teem the island. This is because the island actually has a significant amount of shrubbery and trees that make it hard for Hippos and Crocodiles to go inland.

Misty has lived here her entire life.




Leopard Grove
Leopard grove is a dense forest that touches much of the Clapperclaw border and a bit of the east side of the Painted Army territory. Leopard grove is well, a paradise to leopards. The forest is full of thick, old trees with a canopy that often completely blocks out the sun. The forest floor is mossy with a few types of shrubbery but nothing hard for a big cat to tangle its way through.





Underwood
Underwood is the territory next to Leopard Grove and borders with the Barrens and the Clapperclaw. The greatly dense forest of Leopard Grove thins out a bit here, giving away to large shrubs and thick brush. It is still quite green here but drier than the grove. It is hilly and rocky too. Those not used to this area tend to have a hard time maneuvering the vegetation.
