Ashur walked into the burning heat panting. What had possessed him to do this? This had been a horrible idea! Still, nothing for it now. Sighing, he lifted his head and looked out into the distance. As much as he hated getting his mane wet, he might actually welcome the water this time around. Of course, just one problem. Glancing back at Ammit, he frowned. He wasn't entirely certain she would be able to swim easily, and with her being pregnant, he wasn't too keen on letting her over-stress herself. Sighing, he said, "Perhaps I should carry you while we travel through the delta."

Ammit followed closely behind Ashur as they entered the territory, her eyes watching him carefully for any signs of fatigue. At times like these, Ammit was glad she didn't have a mane like she usually wished. The heat had to be scorching the poor male! They approached the water, and Ashur frowned. At his words, she blinked a few times in confusion. "Well," she said, still confused, "I supposed you could. I could always swim for myself."

Ashur sighed a little. She probably COULD swim herself, but then it might also be stressful for her body, and even in the early stages, it was best to avoid that during pregnancy. So without another word, he lowered his head, ducking it beneath Ammit and moving forward, crouching down until he was completely under her, before suddenly standing to his full height again, successfully setting her on his back. "Just don't fall off." He then waded into the water, and the disgusting water was rather pleasant against his burning dark fur. After taking a moment to just wade in the water and cool off, he stepped off into deeper water and began swimming. Of course swimming with a full grown lioness on his back was tiring, but Ashur was strong. The strongest animal in all of Africa, if he said so himself, and he could handle it with little to no issues. He swam effortlessly through the waters, making sure to keep himself steady so that Ammit wouldn't fall off easily. "You doing okay back there?"
((I'll wait for your response then post in Water's End.))

Even though she was expecting it, Ammit flailed slightly when she was lifted from the ground. It was odd, being carried. She felt almost like a cub again, riding on Ashur's back. Though she did find it amusing that the male was willing to carry her through the water.
As the male swam, Ammit had gently nestled her paws in his mane to keep her balance. It was already beginning to get dirty again, as the water wasn't exactly the cleanest water in the land. "I'm alright... thank you, Ashur," she said, leaning down to give the top of his head a lick. Despite knowing Ashur wasn't very responsive to touch, Ammit preferred to express her gratitude using touch.

Misty crept into the Golden Bridge, peeking around and sniffing the air. She couldn't smell much, but she stuck close to the Painted Army borders, looking around. Luckily, Serval pelts blended in nicely with the long golden grass.
She sniffed the air before standing up, it looked and smelled like nothing was here. She made a mad dash towards Hunter's Paradise before lions came to her.
