Seeing the pup trying to bite Ofure, she growled lowly before trying to swing him away from her neck and chest DeyNN67y (7+6=13 Speed to Evade) Luckily, the adolescent got the pup away from her, but she still had her meat to worry about. (0+3=3 To keep meat)ยท

Even if Nneka thought of Ofure as a failed offspring, she was still her daughter, so when she heard sudden splashing behind her, and turned around to see the pup attacking Ofure, the alpha snarled and quickly rushed back. "Don't you dare touch her!" She wouldn't hit the pup, not unless he continued trying to harm her daughter, or Nneka herself, but she did growl at him, trying to scare him into submission.

Drastic energy was being drained from the teen and she was struggling. She groaned, hoping to not let her meat fall off. OsQn58xa (10+3=13 To keep Meat) As Nneka came over to help her with Zuberi, she smiled gratefully. Now, she had to make it to camp and keep this pup from drowning.

Zuberi leaped and splashed away as soon as he was released, large ears pinned back and tail tucked between his legs. He didn't understand why Death-Growl had gotten mad at him, Meat-Holder had attacked first! The young male simply continued to flee, quickly returning to Sweet-Bringer's side and hiding there, body shaking and breath coming in fearful gasps.

Ofure stared in shock as the pup could actually swim. When could a pup swim?! Anyways, she looked back at her pack mates who were standing on shore. What were they waiting for? She groaned a little bit heading towards camp.

Ofure swam towards Zuberi and her pack mates. Despite him wanting to stay by Christabel's side, she was not waiting. Her patience was slowly going out by now and she knew how Nneka felt like. She grabbed Zuberi by his scruff and swam towards Camp.

Nneka kept swimming, though when she saw Ofure go after Zuberi again, she growled in annoyance. "Did you not learn your lesson the first time? Let him go. He'll swim." If Zuberi attacked her idiot daughter again, she wouldn't do anything this time. She should have learned her lesson when he first snapped at her. So, the alpha kept swimming, calling behind her, "Come on, Kojo! We have to get home!"

Ofure glared silently at her mother as she set Zuberi back down. That was it, she was done with this! She had carried meat over water, tried to hold a pup, she didn't defy her mother even after she carried Zuberi away. Not even a thanks for that lion she carried?!
Ofure slipped out of the water. She was leaving.

Kojo hurried along behind the others, noticing Ofure leaving the area. Where was she off to? He watched her leave, abandoning the pup. He knew the pup would swim, but Kojo couldn't help but feel bad. He continued heading for the Camp, unaware of the desolation he would find.

Zuberi ignored Kojo. He didn't understand the words, though he realized that the dog's tone was friendly enough. Without the female dogs around to entice him this place was just too stressful for the young dog! He needed Comfort-Bringer back! The terrified male sped his pace, splashing and jumping away from camp and through the morass.

Ambokile looked at the water apprehensively. As much as he loved it here, the prospect of swimming this for the first time, completely alone, was a little nerve wracking. He paced through the mud and belly-deep water for a few minutes before finally backing up, getting a good stretch between himself and the deeper water, and sprinting forward to leap into it. He paddled furiously, panicking as he realized he had no clue what he was doing.

His inexperience was his downfall. Although the currents weren't strong, his unorganized flailing soon led to being swept under and back to shore. Coughing and snorting water out his nose, it was another few minutes of pacing before he was ready to try again.

This time the little lipard approached with more caution, wading into the water and pushing off a rock to begin swimming. He seemed to be improving, at least a little, but that wasn't a guarantee that he'd get to the other side.

Though he made it farther, this time Ambokile reached a more treacherous part of the river. The inexperienced cub was quickly swept under, washed violently back to shore. He was okay for the most part, a little scraped up and wet, but relatively unharmed. Frustrated, he let out an angry roar, tail lashing.
