Abeni looked at Tau, keeping her smile and friendly demeanor. "Oh, I didn't realize they needed a nap, my apologies," she said, addressing Adeleke. She turned to Tau again, her belly and sides a bit plumper than they had been. "Well, I'll have to get to know them sometime won't I? After all, we're pride-mates now, and my cubs will be their half siblings."
She took a step forward, rubbing her head under Tau's chin briefly. "But if Adeleke is putting them down for a nap, of course I'll wait until later. I need to eat, anyways. My cubs are growing fast," she grinned, turning to Chinyere. "Don't worry Chi, everything's fine, let's go." She padded past him, tail swishing as she approached the now skinless body of Kenosi. The pregnant female lay down beside his bloody corpse, tucking her paws under her chest and tearing off a good chunk.

Chinyere padded after his now healthy and pregnant sister. His previous adolescent hormones were pretty much gone, having less and less female interactions that weren't his family. He sat with her, smiling. "Abeni, do you think you'll ever bare somebody else's cubs?" he asked, not wanting to bring up the whole cub killing topic.
Although, he loves cubs and he doesn't exactly approve of this, he'll support his sister all the way. She was the only family he had left.

Abeni looked at her brother, grinning. She shrugged, rolling onto her side and displaying her belly to the sunshine. "Oh, I don't know. Perhaps," she murmured, closing her eyes briefly. "What about you, Chi? Do you think you'll ever father a litter or two?" She doubted she would ever 'mother' a cub at all, it just didn't appeal to her. If she had her way she would simply have this one, eat them, and be done with it.
Of course, her brother didn't see that side of her. They were so close, but he was so innocent, and she didn't want to drive him away by revealing her thoughts and intentions to him.

Chinyere smiled at her, looking at her belly. He wished she did, but then again, she might not really want to bare any cubs. He pondered on her question for a moment. "....Perhaps, if I find the right person" he said. He'd definitely want to carry on his father and mother's blood line.
He thought on if he would want to mate with a solitary animal or the pride. "I think if I ever did have children, it would be the lionesses here. Though I don't think I have a high chance with Tau's children, maybe Kikilo and Holly." He said with a smile.

Anan walked slowly into Softwood, his head low and his body tense. He wondered if maybe this was a bad idea, but he tried to push the thoughts away and continue forward. Yet he couldn't bring himself to leave the safety of the shadows to face his siblings. He saw them a ways away, talking, but despite his desire to go to them, instead he gulped and laid down, covered by the brush, keeping hidden until he could finally work up the guts to approach them.

Baneth followed after Tau into Softwood, the leopardess now in a much better mood than before. However, her mood soured once more when her eyes found Abeni. She was near their cubs, and a snarl fell over the black leopardess' face. She watched furiously as the adolescent rubbed up to Tau, Baneth's claws digging into the hardened ground beneath her.
"You will not be getting to know my cubs, half siblings or not," she growled, watching her suspiciously. The female walked away, and another scent hit Baneth. Was it another leopon? The scent was strong and somewhat musky; a male. Yellow eyes glanced around, her tail flicking curiously. "Whoever walks onto this land, show yourself! No harm shall come to you," she said loudly, looking towards the source of the scent.

Tau bit back a growl when Abeni rubbed against him. Sure it annoyed him, and yet even now he found it difficult to show aggression toward a female. Especially one that was bearing his cubs. He hadn't noticed the scent of another leopon, but as Baneth called out, he frowned, though while he probably should have stuck around to face an intruder, for the time being he ducked back into the den to curl around his cubs, licking Adeleke's head as he did so to thank her for babysitting. But now he was going to spend some time with his cubs, at least until Baneth came in to feed them.

Adeleke was happy to see her parents were back, and she grinned happily at her father as he licked her head. But she heard her mother yelling at someone outside, and though the girl wasn't at all a fighter, she felt the need to stand by her mother, so she quickly crawled out of the den, up next to Baneth. "Who is it, Mom?" She looked up at her curiously, before turning and looking into the brush with squinted eyes. Taking a deep breath, she tried to catch the scent, but she wasn't yet experienced enough to tell apart all of the different smells, so she gave up quickly and waited for the stranger to appear.

Anan tensed when a female leopard called out. He'd been noticed. Gulping, he considered running away, but then he would have travelled here for nothing. He was going to see his siblings, and be seen by them. So despite his fear, he took deep breaths and slowly pulled himself out of the brush, head low and ears back. "I'm sorry... for hiding." His eyes flicked up at Baneth, but only for a moment, before quickly looking back to the ground nervously. He was the son Alibaster, her enemy, and though at this point and he wasn't too afraid of death, he was still afraid of what she might do to him.

Khalfani wasn't quite sure how to explain that. "Well... they hurt because somebody hit me. Somebody took their claws and sliced my skin." He didn't know how else to say it. There was probably a better way to explain it to a young cub, but Khalfani had already proven to not be good with kids, even though he so desperately wanted to be. "They'll close up over time, but until then, while they're open, they're gonna hurt."

Chinyere had been calmly talking with his sister when Baneth's roar ringed in his ears and he turned to smell....Anan?? His ears went forward as his brother stepped out and he got up and smiled. As much as he didn't care that much about Anan since his brother had never shown any love or compassion towards Chinyere, he still was glad that he was alive.
He walked towards him, a grin on his face. "Anan! You've come back!" he said with delight.

Baneth heard Adeleke's voice and she leaned down to nuzzle her daughter. "I'm not sure yet. Stay behind me," she answered, turning to look towards the scent's source. She watched curiously as the bush rattled, a maned leopon stepping out timidly. He was fairly large, and he looked like a leopard aside from the mahogany mane wrapped around his neck. Alibaster's son.
He showed no aggression, and Baneth was grateful for that, but she wouldn't show it. She watched Chinyere approach him, calling the stranger "Anan". She turned to glance at Tau, but she then stepped forward to see this male closer.
"Anan, is it? I am Baneth, the new queen of the pride," she introduced, her voice somewhat deep. She looked at him, noticing how frightened he appeared. So long as he showed no aggressive intent, Baneth would allow him to stay in the pride. "Come. We're going to have a pride meeting," she said, turning and walking back to her family.
"Tau, my dear, shall we gather the pride?" she asked, looking at the surrounding animals.

Desta had been pulled away from the pelts while she was watching some action by a white paw. She looked up to see that her daddy had come back! She squealed with delight and put her tiny paws on his shoulder, leaning up the best she could to nuzzle his cheek.
She was glad that daddy was back! Her siblings were okay, well except for Ambokile cause he looked too much like mommy! Mommy was scary..

Not long after Abeni had left Tau alone, Anan had come back. She listened to Baneth talk and she stood tall. The lioness heard something about a 'meeting'. Meeting? About what? She thought to herself. Holly thought that maybe they were switching up the rules now that traditions were pretty much gone.
Gabriel, gone. Tima, gone. Even Alibaster, he might not of been a lion, but he sure was clever. She sighed quietly, Waiting.

Tau smiled at Desta, nuzzling her gently, but then Baneth called to him and he sighed. Back out again. Standing he, he smiled apologetically to his cubs. "Sorry, guys. I promise I'll be back again soon." He crawled out of the den, taking notice of Anan but not paying him too much mind. He remembered him. Hell, it was thanks to Anan that Tau had even met Baneth in the first place. And since the boy seemed friendly enough, the new king certainly wasn't going to mind him sticking around.
Nodding to his mate, he smiled then raised his head and suddenly let out a roar. "Everyone gather! We have an announcement to make." He grinned at Baneth, waiting to see if she wanted to announce her new rank instead of him.
