Hearing commotion going about, the young male long-trotted towards it he was doing nothing particular, but wandering aorund, outside his territory range. The sound of roars clouded the air, along with bloodshed, something that did not belong. Words shouted in hisses and spat, and yet fear this dog lacked. Soon into distance he came, his willowly form wivered and waved. Upon his sights, there were about 5, 5 had lived and yet 1 had died. This violence grew disturbing with each passing moment, holding the sun's blanket of light and descending upon its opponent; the moon. Too much chaos was amist and he knew he had to try and do something before more death upon this. " What is all of this?!" He howled.

"SO KILL ME THEN!" Abeni screamed, her blows growing weaker with each passing moment. Finally, she collapsed on the ground, crawling over to her father and pushing her nose into his mane. "They're all dead," she whispered. Every guardian she had was gone, the only one she had left was Chinyere. "I have nothing! Tau and Bane wouldn't let me stay in Clapperclaw, the only family I have left is my brother!" She sobbed, curling against his body.
"My pride has been destroyed, go ahead and kill me. I have nothing."

"Let go, let go!" Xeiga whooped, flinching and flailing as Ashur struck him, desperate to escape. "No bother! Leave leave!" He didn't want to die here!

This was getting annoying. And to make things worse, suddenly a little dog that had somehow escaped the slaughter appeared, and Ashur turned his head to look at him, growling lowly. "Oh, seems like I missed a mutt during my trips to the delta." He chuckled darkly. "Tell me, little dog, have you at all noticed what happened to your pack? Do you know who killed all of them?" Either this dog was insane, didn't know what happened, or was just really, really stupid. It was no secret that Ashur himself had nearly led the dogs into extinction, leaving only a few for the Barrens clan to take for themselves. So to see this one, single little dog approach him, Ashur found it laughable.

Licking his lips, he glanced back toward the hyena. And this little idiot had gotten involved in a fight that didn't concern him at all. "Get out of here." He raised his paw to give the hyena one last smack, before turning his gaze back to the dog. "And I'd suggest you scram, too, before I take you and feed you to my newest children. Though perhaps you'd like that, hmm? A good amount of your packmates might still be there." Well, actually all of the dog bodies in the Watch had already been eaten. But that's besides the point.
(4 + 14 = 18 to harm Xeiga, but not to pin.)ยท

Ahtrek grunted in Ashur's mere mockery of the tongue. " It wouldn't be a first that your aim was off, brute.. " He grumbled, his ears picking up in sudden determination to listen to Ashur's words, yet insulting as well as informative." I was.. doing solitary walking. I hadn't seem my pack since yesterday.." His ears lowered to a troubled pin then a high-pitched growl ascended from his jaws. " How could you? We've all lived dormant peacefully and you.. You disturb the peace like water. We have done nothing to be committed to such death!" His eyes glared harshly at the large lion, but he glanced away quickly. at Ashur's threat. It was fortunate to have survive and evade all of this all together and in addition, Ashur was giving him a chance to save his life. If Ashur truly did slaughter his pack, then it would take little effort for the lion to slaughter him to. And yet he stood frozen, staring at the ground with a sunken tail. Where would he go now? There was not much of a home to go back to; unknown that some of his packmates were still alive, he would believe that Ashur had killed them all.
With a low-pitched whine, the dog fell to his forepaws, giving almost a kneel becoming very submissive. " Please spare me. " This was the lowest of all the shit Ahtrek has ever done in his life, bow to a lion.. It was pathetic of him yes, but this was survival now. And yet, he had little anger towards Ashur , he barely knew his pack at all. Infact, he'd stayed some way away from them ever since he joined, popping in here and there, but took alone time to extreme. No real bond was truly made with them, and for them to be gone ;Affected him little. Was he really joining on perhaps the demise of a traitor?

Xeiga didn't hear Ashur's words, but since the claws were no longer hooked into his flesh, he immediately fled. The young hyena was as close to death as he had ever been, and didn't want to test the boundaries in any way. He got as far as the river bank before collapsing.

Jasiri was panting, and while the battle seemed to be over, he wasn't about to let his guard down. Slowly and carefully, he pushed himself up into a sitting position, glaring in the direction the hyena had gone before turning his attention to the leopard. What she was even doing here, he had no idea. All of this had started just because that idiot leopon had gotten too close to Sunbaked territory, and then all of these other animals just appeared out of nowhere to join in. It made no sense to him.
He turned his glare to the dog, and couldn't help but smile a little. The little mutt had been trying to act so tough a second ago. Now he just looked pathetic.

The lioness was pleased to see the hyena making his retreat, though now that left the female leopard, the young leopon, and now this dog that had appeared out of nowhere. Growling lowly, she dug her claws into the ground, awaiting her king's orders.

It seemed the battle was dying down, and Khalfani very, very slowly, pushed himself onto his feet, groaning in pain. He'd been HOPING to live by himself for a while, but now it seemed he was going to be forced to return to his mother for protection until he could defend himself. He was torn by that thought. He wanted to be independent, especially considering how things had been going for him lately, but he also wanted to be with his mother. Though he'd have to think about all of this later. For now, he slowly limped his way over to Nuru, head low. "Are you okay?" He glanced over at Alibaster's corpse, growling lowly, before turning back toward the female. "Why were you helping him? He tried to kill me."

Nuru was horrified. She wasn't close to Alibaster, but to see him killed to violently, and to watch his daughter weep over his body...it was enough to break every mother's heart. The fighting had stopped, though, so she turned to Khalfani. At his words, she pinned her ears back, unsure what to think. "I didn't realize, I thought the lion was attacking both of you," she replied. "I'm fine. Let's go get Sollux and head back to leopard grove. I'm sick of lions."

Ashur laughed at the pathetic dog's words, shaking his head. "Listen, mutt, I don't know what your pack told you, but it was your alphas that started this. Your alpha brought a hunting party onto my lands. So, I figured if they could hunt on my lands, I could hunt on theirs." He licked his lips, grinning cruelly. "And lucky you, we had some very successful hunting trips. We're well on food. So run now, and I may let you escape." It always pleased him to see an animal bow to him. His pride mates never really bowed to him. If anything, they just gave him a nod of respect. And Ashur liked it that way. He was a strict leader, but he respected the animals within his pride, and he didn't want them to cower at the very sight of him and kiss his feet.
However, animals outside of his pride? He didn't care for them, and he liked to know that he was feared and respected by them. "Run, little doggie." He gave him one last growl, before finally turning his attention to Alibaster's daughter and growled in disapproval. "How shameful that my greatest rival created such pathetic and cowardly offspring. Wishing for death... puh! You disgust me." He growled and turned away from her, moving to inspect his son and lioness and make sure they weren't too badly injured. Or in Jasiri's case, no more injured than before.

Khalfani shook his head. If it hadn't been for the lion, the might have died. Still, the lion didn't seem particularly friendly, even now, so despite him being distracted by his pridemates, Khalfani was eager to get away. However, as he took a step, his leg seemed to crack and he gasped and fell, groaning. "I don't know if I can make it." He was panting, biting back whines of agony, and tried to pull with his front legs away from the group. He made it a few feet, but of course he couldn't get far before finally he had to stop. "I'm sorry. I can't move."

Nuru frowned, eyes flickering back to the lions. They were in serious danger here, she had to get Khalfani out. "Don't worry, you're not too big, I can carry you," her tone was slightly teasing, but it couldn't cover up the fear she felt. She moved carefully, trying not to harm Khalfani further as she pulled him onto her back. Being a male, he was naturally more bulky than she was, but she felt she could manage. Moving as gently as she could, the young female turned and headed for home.
