Sekai had been standing nearby this whole time, and as they mentioned going out for a walk and practicing fighting, her ears perked up. She didn't really want to fight, but she was starting to grow tired of staying in this den all day. Not too long ago, she had dreaded the idea of leaving, but the older she got, the more restless she became, and she stood up, ready to go at any time. "I wanna help put Horus to rest." She looked at the dead cub, pulling him closer to hug him. She felt oddly close to the stillborn, feeling incredibly protective of him, wanting to keep him warm and safe.

Ammit looked up to Ashur, nodding slightly. "We could go now, while it's not too bright. It would be easier on Rudo's eyes," she answered, looking down at her son. Sekai was hugging Horus' body, which earned a small smile from the lioness. "You can help, Sekai," she said, standing up. "Rudo, dear, we're going outside the den! Come on, up! It's a big day for you, my dear," she said, gently nudging the little cub onto his feet.

Rudo looked up at his mother curiously. A big day? Of course it was a big day, he was born! But of course, he wasn't knowledgeable enough to say that, and he simply nodded, standing shakily on his stubby little legs. "Ooowww... outside! Outside den!" He smiled proudly, then suddenly charged for the den entrance, stumbling and tripping but always getting right back up. He was eager to explore, and even if the light burned his eyes, he was determined to see the world.

Ashur nodded a little, standing up and stretching out his legs. Back to the Watering Holes. He was doing quite a bit of walking back and forth today. "Alright." He looked to the surrounding cubs, and with a smile walked out of the den. He would lead the way. And anyway, he wanted to make sure they didn't go anywhere near Kazimir, though lucky Ashur, Jasiri had already led the male out to the Tallhair Savanna. "Come on, cubs."

Dnali chuckled, glad Rudo was so eager to get going. "Alrighty then, let's go! Asha, Thema!" She called her other two cubs to her as she left the den, giving Ashur an affectionate head-rub as she passed. She had yet to learn of Azikiwe's death, and now that Kazimir and Jasiri were taking them out, she would likely remain oblivious to the loss for quite a while, as she had with her sister. Regardless, she was glad to get out of camp. Just like the cubs, she hadn't had a trip out since they were born.

Ammit watched with a smile as her son eagerly rushed to the entrance. He was slowly getting the hang of walking, the little cub stumbling and falling many times. He got up every time, and Ammit knew that her son would have the same determination for the rest of his life. He did not easily give up on things he wanted, and clearly, he wanted to go outside the den.
The lioness followed after all of the others, exiting the den last. She watched Dnali give Ashur a head-rub, causing a tiny bit of jealousy to flare up in her chest. She couldn't exactly be jealous, could she? Ashur had mated with many females, but for some reason, she felt a little possessive of him. But Dnali was also her closest friend, and Ammit found herself with conflicting emotions She shrugged them off, carefully picking up Horus' body in her jaws.
"Alright, off to the watering holes," she said a bit solemnly, now realizing that her son was going to be buried.

A lone female lioness walked into the vision of the assembled cats. She was dark as night, with sky-blue eyes. "Hello." she meowed quietly.

Jasiri continued the short walk back to Sunbaked, shrugging a little at Kazimir's question. "It's great. We're well-fed, protected... by now everyone knows that the Sunbaked is too strong to fight, so we're left pretty much alone. Hell, my father pretty much orders Clapperclaw around, even though he's not really the king there." Whether or not that was really true didn't matter. Ashur had basically allowed Tima to be king, and he had chased Alibaster away when the leopon had killed Tima... everyone feared Ashur. Everyone respected him. And even if Jasiri didn't spend that much time with his father, he still loved him, just like he had loved Vita. "Everyone in Sunbaked is proud to be here. And we won't let anyone ruin this for us." A not so subtle threat? Who knows.

She walked up to the congregated cats. "Hello, Jasiri." She meowed. Then she stooped and settled onto the rocks.

Kazimir nodded, smiling. "Glad I chose to come here then," he chuckled. "I've had enough fighting in the last few years, a little peace sounds wonderful. Course I'll still fight if I'm needed, I'm not too lazy." He padded into the Watch, just along the edge, and stretched out in the shade of a large rock. His eyes wandered over to the black lioness, intrigued by her odd coloration, but quickly returned to Jasiri. He wasn't allowed near the females for now, and he wasn't going to test his limits just yet.

She looked at the tall lion with the dark mane. He was funny. She tought he looked embarrased, but maybe she was reading to much in.

Jasiri eyed Shadedapple warily. He didn't really know her too well, as he hadn't really made an effort to make friends with the pride members outside of those actually related to him, and anyway, all females were supposed to stay away from Kazimir. "Hi. This is Kazimir." He gestured to the newly joined lion. "He's new to the pride, so you have to stay away from him until he's proven himself trustworthy." He stepped away and sat down near the once-rogue. He didn't really want to stick around him, but he had been ordered by his father to watch the newcomer, and he wasn't about to disobey the king. "Well, that's good. The most important thing to Ashur is loyalty to the pride, because we're all family, and family is the most important thing." His expression darkened as he said that, though. Askari apparently hadn't thought family was very important.

Kazimir flashed a smile, nodding to Shadedapple. He once again returned attention to Jasiri, letting his eyes rove briefly. He nodded at his comment, thinking back to his own family. It hadn't exactly been happy, his father was a tyrant and hated small cubs, and they lived in fear. But they stuck together, and looked out for each other. "Agreed. If I'd had a choice in the matter, I think I would've stayed in my birth pride." Of course, he had been driven out as soon as he reached maturity. There were NO males allowed in his father's pride, aside from young cubs.
"So, is Ashur the only breeding male, or does he let his kids have mates inside the pride?" he asked after a moment, ears twitching curiously. Jasiri didn't look like the kind of male who'd attract a lioness, but one never knows.

Jasiri didn't notice Kazimir's eyes wandering over him, and simply nodded at the male's question. "Yeah. Only Ashur is allowed to breed. But he does allow males into the pride that he knows won't break that rule. Like me, and then my... friend, Azikiwe." His ears lowered a little, and he sighed. "And my brother was kicked out of the pride for taking an interest in a female." Not exactly how it went, but oh well. Jasiri didn't feel the need to explain that complicated little story.
